My process throughout my drawing is that I would start with the smaller details then move on to the bigger details this includes the sketches and the shading details. How I represent myself in this drawing is expressive because of the dog snapchat filter. I believe I did achieve the full range of value on my drawing. I have created all the highlighted and shadows that are represented in the original photograph including; on the face and the snapchat filter and the clothing. I believe that my art work is executed and crafted neatly because this drawing looks exactly like me and it portrayed as seen in the original photo and everything is done very neatly. I was able to capture my look by looking at the reference photo and creating all the details on the face and body. I made sure I had the correct facial placement by doing the eye method the Mrs. Rossi had shown us in class and making sure I kept looking at the reference photo to look at the placements. It's important to learn how to draw the facial features individually because it makes you learn the individual key features on how to draw and shade and detail the facial features like the eye, noise, mouth, etc. The most beneficial part of this unit was learning how to draw the facial features and how to detail and shade them. The obstacle I had to deal with on the self-portrait was shading the face.

The Craftsmanship on my drawing is neat and got the right angles and proportions of the drawing correct. The transparency of the waffles I think is well executed. It look like there is a wrapper over the waffles. The color of the waffles I think I got right. Also I think the Nutella could be darker. Overall I think the color of the drawing is good. I used the highlights in the waffle wrapper to create that your looking through the waffles through the wrapper. Also created some highlights on the knife like the reference photo. I create a shadow under all the items so it didn't look like they were just floating. the importance of using prisma colored pencils or pastels is portraying blending in the colors and not making harsh lines that could betrayed if using the colors wrong but also making the drawing realist as possible using prisma colors or pastels. Something I could improve on is making some of the colors darker and adding more value in the colors.
I created these bird house using perspective. I think the drawing was successful because I think I portrayed the prospective of the bird houses well. It looks like some are in the distance and some up close. I made each bird house different size to create that effect. It's important to understand perspective because most of the outside world is perspective and if you're drawing something that you're looking at like buildings you will mostly use perspective. The pencil was successful in my drawing to make it realistic by adding value like shadows, highlights, and depth. The perspective was successful because of how the bird houses are angles and how it looks like the sizes of the bird houses and the distance. I think the craftsmanship of my drawing is good. Some techniques I used was second point perspective and using a line in the middle of the paper to know where the bird houses should be placed. Also I used shading techniques. Yes I was able to achieve depth of the drawing by using darker shading and lighter shading to show where the highlights would be on the bird houses and where the shadows would be also. My experience with perspective is good. I enjoyed drawing the first and second perspective but not third perspective. With this piece there were not obstacles. With perspective I've been taught its important to know where to place the highlights and shadows and also been taught the different perspective points like first, second and third perspective. Yes I do think I was prepared for this project.
For this project I had to pick five different objects of different sizes and in a good order overlapping each other. Also had to add value like adding shading of the objects and the highlights where the light source hits each of the objects. My drawing a clean edges and is clear of what the objects are. I think the shading is okay on some of the objects and others the shading is blended well. Yes my values and and shadows are realistic. Adding value to a drawing is important because it helps add to the drawing and helps understand how dark and light an objects is. Yes there is a clear light source. The compositional sketches were important to see different placements of the objects in a drawing. My final drawing is successful because of how realistic my objects are with the value(shadows and highlights). Yes all the proportions, structure and perspective are correct from the original picture of the objects. I think the placement and grouping of the objects create a pleasing appeal to the eye. I think it is well placed because I was using the rule of thirds for this drawing which the drawing is not exactly in the center it is off the left. I believe I manage my time well with this drawing. Over the process of drawing I could see I could improve on some objects of the shading. Some challenges I encountered was the shape of the camera lens and the pencil sometime made hard scratches. I have learnd that a drawing or sketch can add a lot when adding value; it really makes a piece come together.
